Collection: The Correctional Employees’ Assistance Fund
A NEW FUND FOR CORRECTIONAL EMPLOYEES IN WAYNE COUNTY
The Correctional Employees’ Assistance Fund (CEAF) will serve as a smaller, local version of the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF), though not associated. Once financially substantial enough to provide aid, it will serve USP Canaan, SCI Waymart and Wayne County Correctional Facility employees.
When there is a need, the members behind the walls will complete the application for assistance and submit it for consideration by a Decision Committee made up of representatives from all three institutions. Applications, assistance amount and type of aid provided will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All funds raised will be held by the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF). Donations to the Fund can be made directly through the Foundation’s website or by mail (more info below).
The CEAF committee members decide to whom assistance will be provided and how. The WCCF will issue the assistance from CEAF’s account. Direct financial assistance will not be provided, however, if approved for assistance, the fund may pay an expense on behalf of the employee.
We would like to become available to provide aid as soon as possible. Please support the funding by participating in events, purchasing raffle tickets or by donating online! We can’t help without the funds to do so!
